A Book of Aussie Babies is a little fact book about the beautiful, and quite extraordinary, animals found here in Australia. It contains many animals that everyone will be familiar with (e.g. kangaroos and koalas), but also introduces some rare and unusual ones as well (e.g sea lions and thorny dragons!).
I suggest you read this book with a tape measure, so you can measure the child/children, then make some comparisons, as you discover just how huge a kangaroo really is and how tiny a pygmy possum is!
I thought I knew a lot about our native animals, but was shocked at how little I knew, when I began writing this book. I was amazed at how unique our Aussie animals are and how well they have adapted to our hot, dry environment. I guarantee everyone will learn something from this little book!
